At our practice, we take a holistic approach to orthodontics for children, teenagers and adults. We combine the techniques of orthodontics with those of osteopathy and craniosacral therapy. This sets us apart from other forms of orthodontic treatment, as our diagnosis and treatment take into account the teeth, jaw and the whole body.

Orthodontic treatment

The focus of our holistic orthodontic treatment at our practice in Krailling near Munich is not solely on the symptoms; we want to understand the underlying causes. We influence the alignment of teeth and jaws, promote correct posture and improved nasal breathing, and can help alleviate conditions affecting the musculoskeletal system, as well as head, neck and back pain.

Orthodontic treatment

Using an intraoral scan and modern X-ray techniques, we can analyse your teeth and plan the best course of treatment.

The aligner process:

Using an intraoral scan (no impression required), we can show you the potential outcome of aligner treatment within a few minutes. Based on this scan, custom-made aligners are produced, which are changed weekly and gently and discreetly move your teeth into the desired position.

About Invisalign treatment

The process for braces:

A few days before the braces are fitted, the molars are separated using small rubber bands; this makes it easier and less painful to attach the bands to the molars. A few days later, the teeth are professionally cleaned and the fixed braces are fitted. The tooth surfaces are sealed to prevent any damage to the teeth during treatment. Brackets are then attached to the teeth. Finally, metal wires are threaded through the brackets and bands. This slowly initiates tooth movement.

Biological fixed braces

The use of modern bracket systems minimises side effects and allows the teeth to be gently moved into the desired position. The high-tech archwires glide smoothly through the brackets and apply pressure to the teeth more gently. At the same time, the movement is faster and more natural, and fewer check-up appointments are required.

Fixed braces not only straighten the teeth, but also ensure that the bite is optimally and functionally aligned.

Sealing the areas around the brackets and a professional preventive care programme reduce damage to the teeth caused by the brackets.

Orthodontics FAQs

At what age can you visit an orthodontist?

In some girls and boys, abnormalities in the alignment of the teeth and jaws can appear very early on. In such cases, it is advisable to visit an orthodontic practice as early as the age of 4 or 5.
During early childhood, the onset of jaw growth can be optimally guided to benefit treatment, for example using removable braces.

The earlier you bring your child in, the better. That way, you can be sure you won’t miss the right time. In principle, before puberty is always better than after.

The costs depend on the severity of the misalignment and the type of braces. There is always an individual treatment and cost plan.

If you feel that something isn’t quite right, please feel free to drop by for a no-obligation consultation. We’ll give you honest advice, even if we don’t recommend braces in your case!

We will first have a detailed discussion. This is followed by a clinical examination of the mouth. Sometimes an X-ray is required. We will then discuss again whether, and if so, which types of treatment appliances are suitable for you or your child. Depending on the nature of the misalignment, other specialists may be recommended.
